Les splits de Vintlechkeit laissent exactement le même sentiment que ceux de Sadness : on se jette dessus *parce qu'il y a Vintlechkeit*, parce que ce groupe est devenu une valeur sûre ; mais quand vous les avez finis, vous ne savez plus où vous en êtes. Hvite Felt Av Død... ne déroge pas à la règle. Bien sûr que Vintlechkeit est phénoménal, mais Vinterkult et sa guitare qui ne s'arrête jamais, et sa batterie qui ne s'arrête jamais... C'est un barrage de black metal atmosphérique stupéfiant !

Dype i vinterskogens... fait partie des trois chalets de Vintlechkeit — c'est même le premier pour être plus précis. Absorbé par les forêts profondes de leur terre natale, comme le trio le précise lui-même dans sa description, le groupe nous encourage à chercher refuge non pas à l'intérieur mais bien dans les forêts glaciales qui s'imposent derrière. De drone contemplatif dans "Takeskoger", nous passons à une tempête empreinte de beauté dans "Ensomhet Dype i vinterskogens...". Court, intense.

Striking and hypnotic, listening through Geister is a rugged and immense journey. The album is brimming with ceremonial darkness from the moment it starts. The intensity of each track is bookended with ritual, and this immersive factor keeps me utterly entranced by the story being told. Geister still feels frigid and dangerous, and I end up captivated every time I listen.
